Rev. Jefferson Charles Beeker



Jefferson was born and raised in Washington, D.C. and grew up with a keen interest in theatre and government, as well as a passion for American History.  Prior to going into the ministry he worked in the entertainment industry in Washington, D.C., New York and Los Angeles.  Growing up in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) his family have been members of the denomination for six generations.


He joined the staff of the First Christian Church of North Hollywood, California in 2007 as the Minister of Evangelism and Membership Development and concluded his ministry there in May, 2016. He received his Master's of Divinity degree from San Francisco Theological Seminary in Pasadena.  He also received a 2011 Granvill and Erline Walker Ministerial Scholarship grant for students with an emphasis in preaching.  


Previously Jefferson directed the Youth Program at Hollywood-Beverly Christian Church in Hollywood, California, which included a summer theatre program for youth.  He also served in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) Regional Office for the Pacific Southwest Region, assisting the Senior Associate Regional Minister.  He served for three years on the board of the Eastmont Community Center in East Los Angeles, which is an affiliated ministry of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in the Pacific Southwest Region.

Jefferson studied at Texas Christian University in Ft. Worth,Texas, the Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre in New York,  and Montgomery College in Rockville, Maryland, as well as the above mentioned San Francisco Theological Seminary where he currently serves on the Alumni Council. He makes his home in Studio City, California.
